We at Maanbindu Music feel really exicited to present our first sensational hindi music album Musicology featuring young & aspiring pop artist Tejrup Kulkarni. This album contains 9 sizzling numbers that will surely touch your heart. Musicology also features two special songs by queen of pop songs Vaishali Samant out of which one is solo and other is a duet.

The duet Geet Gate Rahe Hum requires a special mention here as it has come out just brilliant. Its a blend of sweet sounding Vaishali Samant and rusty rock voice of Tejrup Kulkarni. Do listen to it from following list. Another distinguishing feauture of this album is its brilliant lyrics (hard to find these days!) for all 9 songs. Tejrup Kulkarni has taken great efforts in lyrics writing and in compositions and the same is evident when you listen to all songs from Musicology.

When we asked Tejrup to speak about Musicolgy he said,"Musicology is a dream! Dream of a person who wants to make music that is timeless, global and iconic. People ask me how did you think of name Musicology? The story is little funny. A general question asked to young people of my age is, what you do? To which answer generally comes as BSC In mathematics, or doing something in microbiology, zoology, geology etc. I decided that this is my art and so it will be called as MUSICOLOGY".(he smiles)

Then he adds,"My Music is made to touch the heart of every person around. It will move him internally and then will help him finding world as a better place. Finding new improved perspective about living life. I just cant wait where I could go live and entertain more and more people and see them smiling and being entertained. This is my first step towards that dream.. that journey. Let's hope for the best" Amen,say we!

हिंदी पॉप संगीताच्या क्षितीजावर चमकण्याची क्षमता असणारा तरुण मराठी गायक, गीतकार आणि संगीतकार  तेजरुप कुलकर्णी याचा म्युझिकॉलॉजी हा पहिला हिंदी अल्बम मानबिंदू म्युझिक तर्फे तुमच्यासमोर आणताना आम्हाला खूप आनंद होतोय. तेजरूप कुलकर्णी बरोबरच मराठी पॉप विश्वाची सुप्रसिद्ध गायिका वैशाली सामंत हिने देखील या अल्बममध्ये दोन गाणी गायली असून त्यातलं एक गाणं सिंगल असून दुसरं ड्युएट आहे.

"गीत गाते रहे हम"  हे गाणं ड्युएट गाणं खूप अप्रतिम झालय आणि म्हणूनच गाण्याचा इथे विशेष उल्लेख करावासा वाटतो. कानाला अतिशय गोड वाटणारा वैशालीचा आवाज आणि तेजरुप कुलकर्णीचा रॉक स्टाईलचा आवाज हा मिलाफ खासच जमून आलाय. खाली असलेल्या विभागामध्ये हे गाणं जरुर ऐका.  या अल्बमचं आणखी एक वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे सगळ्याच गाण्यांसाठी लिहिले गेलेले अप्रतिम शब्द (जे हिंदी गाण्यांमध्ये हल्ली अभावानेच आढळतात)! प्रत्येक गाणं लिहिताना, ते चालीत बांधताना तेजरूप कुलकर्णीने विशेष मेहनत घेतली आहे आणि ही मेहनत प्रत्येक गाणं ऐकताना आपल्याला जाणवत रहाते.

तेजरुपला या अल्बमबद्दल विचारलं असता तो म्हणतो, " म्युझिकॉलॉजी हे माझं स्वप्न आहे. माझं संगीत कालातीत, जागतिक दर्जाचं आणि स्वत:चा ठसा उमटवणारं असावं असं मला वाटतं आणि त्याप्रमाणे ते बनविण्याचा माझा प्रयत्न असतो. म्युझिकॉलॉजी हे नाव कसं सुचलं याचीही एक वेगळी गम्मत आहे. साधारणत: माझ्या वयाच्या सगळ्याच मुलांना हा प्रश्न विचारला जातो की तू काय करतोस? त्यावर सहसा तुम्हाला, मी मायक्रोबायोलॉज, झुऑलॉजी किंवा जिऑलॉजी मध्ये बी. एस. सी करतोय असं काहीतरी उत्तर येतं. मला वाटलं की म्युझिक हे माझं क्षेत्र आहे, त्यात मी वेगवेगळे प्रयोग करतो. त्या अनुषंगाने माझ्या अल्बमचं नाव म्युझिकॉलॉजी असच हवं असं मला वाटतं".  आणि यावर तो हसतो.

त्यापुढे तो म्हणतो, "माझं संगीत हे प्रत्येकाच्या हृदयाला साद घालेल असं आहे. ते प्रत्येकाला विचार करायला लावेल आणि आपल्याला वाटतं त्यापेक्षा जग हे अधिक सुंदर आहे याची जाणीव ते करून देईल. मला तर कधी एकदा स्टेजवर जाऊन परफॉर्म करतोय आणि माझ्या गाण्यांनी लोकांच मनोरंजन करून त्यांना आनंद देतोय असं झालय. ते माझं स्वप्न आहे आणि हा अल्बम ही त्या स्वप्नाची... त्या प्रवासाची.. पहिली पायरी आहे."

Tejrup Kulkarni has penned down the journey of album Musicology. Here it is, in his own words,

"I started my journey as a guitarist. After just 3 months of learning I could do it pretty well. In fact so well that I had an offer from local marathi music group to play guitar for their 3 days long show. The show featured many songs from the legendary hindi marathi playback singers. The practice sessions for the show lasted for about 6 months.That was a great learning experience for me nonetheless that also built my base as a musician. Soon I had another offer from other group 'Vedh Yuva pratishthan' to take the responsibility of music department of their shows. I got a chance to become a music arranger then. Eventually I ended up working a lot in that field. I also assisted Mr.Ashok patkiji and many Reknowned singers later on.

In 2009 With the increased demand of my music services I started my own studio named "Creative Studios". Creative studios was a success too. It went well for 2 years,2009 to 2011 and did many important projects for my city Akola. As time progressed, in 2011, I Started feeling myself being typecasted in the similar projects of recording and similar live shows . So I decided that I should create a platform which gives me more liberty to experiment with music.

I started exploring myself. I started thinking how much can I push myself? Can I write concepts for songs? Can I write lyrics for songs? can I compose? can I sing ? Can I explain music arrangement ? Can I Present my music being on screen? The answer was YES! The work on Musicology began there. In May 2012 I completed 7 Original beautiful songs for Musicology and 3 superb music videos. Meanwhile I was also fortunate to meet Vaishali ji. I asked her if she could sing couple of songs in my album. She didn't say yes immediately. She called me in a recording studio after some days. She first listened to my compositions there. She liked it. She also gave her valuable suggestions for me to improve and more importantly agreed to sing for Musicology then. I was extermely happy that day. She has sung two songs in Musicology

Now as this album is released I am really happy about it. I just cant wait where i could go live and entertain more and more people and see them smiling and being entertained. Let's hope fr the best !
